Marketing Specialist

Base Salary:               Depends on Education and Experience

Hours:                        Full-Time (40 hours week)

Schedule:                   Monday– Friday | 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Status:                        Non-Exempt, 90-day probation period

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the immediate supervision of the Chief Executive Officer of Native Community Development, Inc. (dba NATIVE, Inc.).

JOB SUMMARY:  To develop and deploy consistent, engaging content and digital marketing campaigns across the NATIVE, Inc.’s website, mobile, email, social media platforms and other digital marketing platforms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in brand management for digital marketing and multimedia asset creation including brand identity, look and feel and voice execution

  • Primary lead in outreach engagement and promoting products, events, and services to drive traffic, generate leads and acquire new clients and donors

  • Writes, proofreads, edits, and distributes compelling copy and content for clients’ communications materials, advertisements, video scripts, websites, blogs, digital ads, social media channels, e-newsletters, and similar platforms.

  • Monitor performance of digital marketing initiatives and report on results

  • Work with graphic artist(s) and print vendors to develop brochures, flyers, and promotional materials

  • Works with news reporters, newspaper editors, bloggers, and influencers to promote our work

  • Develops and deploys monthly events calendars and publishes on all platforms

  • Update promotional materials as needed

  • Primary lead in coordinating and conduct outreach events and presence

  • Develop client and donor database for management of client record keeping, maximizing the software as an engagement and communication tool for outreach

  • Engage networks through social media and electronic communication methods for consistent messaging, coordination of company brand, and community outreach

  • Encourage employee’s participation or sponsorship of community service projects

  • Prepare press releases for company announcements of public interest

  • Coordinate media efforts and company brand recognition throughout the organization, such as assuring standard company templates, colors, fonts, etc. related to advertising and promotion to present a coherent image of the company

  • Arrange for photography of all company events and press coverage when appropriate

  • Create and strategize internal and external newsletters, assuring the corporate message is clearly communicated, including planning subject matter, articles, and handling the layout and distribution of material

  • Assist with direct mail campaigns

  • Coordinate and attend professional public appearances, promotional activities and interactions as a representative of the company and Foundation within the community and related business networks

  • Create and prepare reports on donor activity, potential donor outreach programs, and ongoing data maintenance related to the development of the organization

  • Research, analyze and recommend new marketing opportunities; produce grant related research; and assist in pursuing continual development growth opportunities

  • Plan and organize donor, staff, resident, and community events, including reserving facilities, catering, invitations and promotions, and equipment

  • Manages NATIVE, Inc.’s and clients’ social media accounts

  • Tracks, measures, and reports ad campaign metrics, including website analytics

  • Assures that deadlines are established and met for timely completion of projects

  • Produces online and paper applications and sign up sheets for exhibits and events

  • Completes other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICTIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, English, journalism and/or another related field.

  • Minimum of four (4) years of working experience in copywriting/editing.

  • Must demonstrate strong organizing and coordination skills.

  • Must demonstrate creativity and self-starter.

  • Energized, challenged, and inspired by working in communities of diversity.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Must demonstrate professionalism.

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.

  • Must be culturally competent in working with Native Americans.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Handle multiple tasks and priorities in a high paced environment.

  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, stair climbing, and light lifting to 10 lbs.

  • Responding promptly in late-night hours may be required on occasion.

  • Travel for training may be required on occasion.
